Floorplans - Ground floor
The new House > Ground floor > First floor > Second and Third floors

Features
1. Reception
A light, bright reception area will provide a warm and secure welcome for new families. It will include a separate area for new families to check in, and a waiting area for guests.
2. Donor wall
A large feature of the reception area will be a donor wall to recognise major donors and key supporters. The wall is being created by Weta Workshop.
3. Administration offices and staff apartment
Our administration offices and an apartment for staff or volunteers will be located behind the main reception area. We operate a 24-hour service to ensure staff or volunteers are always available.
4. Underground parking, storage and utilities
The basement will provide 17 car parks and a large storage area for the generous donations of food, cleaning and other general household products we receive. A walk-in chiller and freezer will be housed here, as will a rubbish and plant room.
5. Community room
The community room concept has worked well in Houses in the United States. The room is available to the local community for little or no cost. For use of the room, groups will be given a tour of the House. The aim is to increase awareness of the House and help maintain a high local profile and support.
6. Media room
The media room or mini theatre will also be available for the local community to use. Families in the House will use it for movie nights and sporting events, encouraging a community feeling in the House.
7. Children's art room
The Art Room is a new facility. As well as being therapy for sick children, the room aims to provide an avenue for siblings to play and express their feelings.
8. Laundry
Three laundries throughout the House will cope with personal and House laundry.
